Fashion editors guide us on our fashion journey – they tell us what’s hot and what’s not – they talk the talk, but do they walk the walk? Fashion editors spend so much time immersed in beautiful clothes and beautiful places, that it just has to rub off on them at some point. Seeing them out and about, or on social media, rocking something that gives us serious envy, may be annoying but also very inspirational.
We have been searching high and low for the most experimental, bold and fierce fashion editors out there – and not just style-wise! Inspiring women usually means inspiring style, and we love to see what influences them. So without further ado, meet the fashion editors whose style we absolutely adore!
1. Farrah Storr
Via All Events
Farrah Storr is an awarding-winning Editor-in-Chief at Cosmopolitan UK, she is passionate, strong-minded and hard-working – everything we love in a Rebel woman! You can usually find her organizing inspiring talks in London for aspiring businesswomen or on the front page of other publications fighting her corner. Trying to get more young women into journalism, last year she opened a number of Cosmo houses for people outside the south east of England to be able to have housing for their internships in the capital. Her work ethic and keen eye for fashion are replicated in her style - she’s not afraid to try something new. Whether she’s setting tongues wagging with bold magazine covers or in her style, she isn’t afraid to mix things up. Mixing feminine, timeless staples with trend-led pieces makes her style relatable yet inspiring.
2. Miroslava Duma
Via Style Du Monde
Miroslava is the brains behind the rapidly expanding empire Fashion Tech Lab, which includes her lifestyle publication Buro 247, and being a former Special Projects Editor at Harper’s Bazaar Russia! Her look is edgy, minimalist with an androgynous touch here and there, which fits into her heavily fashion-influenced yet busy lifestyle. She’s not afraid to play up with different lines, favoring a 60s-inspired power suit with extra volume on the shoulders for a wacky look - after all, she still has to stand out in the industry she works in. Her versatile and stylish businesswoman look gets inside your head and stays there. She loves experimenting her style, once going from a very feminine, preppy look to something a little more different nowadays. Her businesswoman vibe is definitely something we want to try and replicate in our own wardrobes.

Edwina knows how to stay true to her identity in a rocky industry.
4. Charlie Gowans-Eglinton
Via Elle UK
Charlie is the Senior Fashion Editor at the Telegraph, one of the leading British newspapers, previously being the face and the pen behind other amazing publications such as Grazia and Elle. Moving from fashion-focused publications to one of the Britain’s most well-known publications was a bold move, which we feel is reflected in her personal style. As a woman with some serious wanderlust, travelling from one exotic destination to the next, she loves to mix it up between high street and high end, but still shops absolute bargains in thrift stores and vintage boutiques too. Being surrounded by designers and making the front row of fashion weeks obviously has had its effect on Charlie, as she loves to add a little edge to her sometimes more classic outfits.
5. Carine Roitfield
Carine was the editor of Vogue Paris before moving onto Harper’s Bazaar as the global fashion editor, and her roles in some of the biggest fashion publications in the world have made her influential in the world of fashion a business. She is the face behind some of the most remarkable imagery in the world. Like her covers, her street style remains unrivaled, just oozing Parisian sophistication at its finest. Whether she’s mixing feminine and masculine with tailoring, or sporting her favorite monochrome prints, she knows how to look effortlessly cool. She is not afraid to dare to be sexy, something that we can all get a bit prude about now and again. This is why Paris is the fashion capital!
